Make My Own Web Business

There are basically 2 factors that determine how much MONEY you will make on the internet. These 2 factors are TRAFFIC, and CONVERSION. There is no reason to send traffic to a website that doesn't convert, and vice versa. However, you want to consider your traffic sources while dialing in your conversion.

CONVERSION is how well your website does what it is intended to do. This is where alot of internet marketers go wrong. The only thing your home page, or squeeze page, should accomplish is to capture your visitor's name and email address. You should NOT sell anything on your home page.

Your visitor should only have 2 options on your home page; to input their name and email address, or to leave your website. You certainly don't want them to leave your website, so the job of your home page is to capture your visitor's name and email address.

How do you capture your visitor's name and email address? By offering them something of VALUE, for FREE. You give them a free gift that will solve their problem, in exchange for their name and email address. The more valuable the free gift is, the more likely they are to give you their name and email address. This benefits you in 2 ways; it builds your LIST, and they start to get to KNOW you, LIKE you, and TRUST you.

Your visitor's name and email address goes from your opt in form, on your home page, or squeeze page, to your LIST in your auto responder. You will then continue to email them FREE content, that benefits them, using prewritten emails, via your auto responder.

The people on your LIST now KNOW you, LIKE you, and TRUST you, because you have given them a free gift, and valuable, free information, all of which has helped them tremendously.

The chances of these people buying your product or service has now dramatically increased. These days, it is very difficult to SELL something to someone that doesn't KNOW you, LIKE you, and TRUST you.

Now you use your auto responder to send them a prewritten email, with a link to your paid product or service. Again, they are much more likely to BUY now, because they KNOW you, LIKE you, and TRUST you. You have already given them a FREE gift, and VALUABLE, FREE information that has made their life easier.

DO NOT take advantage of this. Your LIST is, by far, your biggest asset. If you treat them right, by giving them valuable information, and if you only send them to products you truly believe in, you will have a LIST of laser targeted BUYERS for LIFE, not to mention some new FRIENDS.

Once you have set this process up, you don't have to do it again. You only have to set up the PROCESS your visitors will go thru ONCE.

With this process set up, you can start concentrating on the 2nd factor that will determine how much MONEY you will make online; TRAFFIC. There are many ways to get targeted traffic, many of them are FREE. I tend to lean towards the free ways; forum marketing, newsletters, email signatures, article marketing, content syndication, list swaps, classified ads, online giveaways, and social media, etc. You also have the option to use paid SEO techniques, PPC, and more.

This will get you a bunch of targeted TRAFFIC, to go along with your excellent CONVERSION rate. This equals a lot of MONEY for you.
